That is ugly. My ADD already kicking in with all the multiple sheens of the black. Just buy one in black at that point.

Anybody know how those iforce max batteries do in extreme cold ? I live in Alaska and after test driving the hybrid I was very impressed but I’m hesitant about the battery with the cold.

I’ve owned 4 Toyota hybrids, zero hybrid battery problems in North Central Montana. Also Toyota hybrid battery warranty is 10 years 150k miles.

Same here. Even with biometric login it's a PITA as it logs out at the drop of a hat

Now that the Gen 4 has been out in the wild for a bit, what are the most common problems?

    Thanks.

I’d say the most common problem are the bed rail caps curl up towards the front of the bed and the lower windshield cowling doesn’t lay completely flat in a couple spots. So far seems like a solid start for the new gen, other than the early transmission failures, that have all but gone away.

Unlike my 2016, this Gen4 has been near flawless. That’s even more impressive considering that Gen4 is a complete redesign, and that 2016 was a ten-year-old Gen2 with a handsome facelift & swapped powertrain.

Shame the Tundra was (is..) such a complete crap show; otherwise I’d argue that Toyota has seriously upped its first-year game.

I test drove a 4th gen OR today and I liked everything about that truck other than the engines noise. The turbo whistle is cool, but the engine itself sounds horrible. God it sounds bad. Very bad imo.

Hence the imo at the end haha. I’m looking forward to the boys racking up the miles and see how they do.

So it sounds like we have a good design and the TMMBC is executing it properly.

Tyger tonneau cover, Westin 4” tubes.
We have had a 2013 Avalon Hybrid since new. 156K in northern New York. Not Alaska weather but we get a 160” of snow and it gets damn cold. Never a problem with the hybrid or battery.

You might have been hearing the horrid fake engine noise through the speakers. I think it's on by default, and frequently turned off by new owners.
