Wondering what the OEM gasket part number was so i could order a new one.

Also does anyone know what to google for a YouTube video of it? I know its self explanatory but I prefer a video

Gear oil RTV. Been without a gasket for years now and no leak issue. Clean and prep the mounting surface well and call it good.

Nice. I was also told of a redneck trick where you use the cardboard that beer comes in. It swells up and let's no oil out. Could I use that and gasket maker or would 2 gaskets do more harm than good? I just dont want to do this again

This will fit if you insist on using a gasket

Seen done both way, with and without paper gasket. Like I said, prep goes a long way. Thoroughly clean both mounting surface before torquing it down and allowing the rtv to cured before pouring gear oil in. I usually get it down before night time and let it sit overnight before I add gear oil. I use

The most crucial part of this is getting the surface clean before using a gasket or RTV. I've always only use RTV without gaskets with no issues. Also make sure once you applied the rtv not to torque everything down right away. Let it kind of cure a little before torquing down
