2024 Tacoma Matchbox

I’ve been looking everywhere for a 2024 Tacoma Matchbox and can’t find one. Where and when have you guys found them?

 

My son just picked one up for me, but I am not sure where he got it. It might have been at a Target or a Walmart store. Maybe Amazon might have it.

Good luck finding one on the shelf. I suspect that the people who show up to Walmart or Target (or work there) and buy all of them are the same folks who were trying to sell us our toilet paper back at 3x cost in 2020…

I’d love to see my 7yo son find one at the store for $1.25, but out of principle refuse to feed some character a 1500% markup on Amazon. So for now, he’ll have to settle for the real thing parked in the garage.

 

The best place to find them (if possible) is at the Dollar Tree stores....they may be on pegs or in those long boxes (short cards) and possible placed on shelf by the Easter items. But Dollar Tree is where I found one.

 

False advertising. It has a Trd Pro pic on the package but the actual matchbox is a Trd Offroad.

 

What's the biggest tire you can fit on these?

 

There are none in Colorado Springs. I’ve checked about 8-10 Dollar Trees and about the same amount of Walmarts. I can’t believe that from one store to the next out here is less than 10 minutes.

 

The time and gas money you have spent searching for a $2 toy from store to store when you could have just paid $15 to order one online lol. It’s coffee and donut money. I don’t get it.

 

Tremendous off-road capability. This little guy managed to scale my IRL Taco all on it's own.

Yes, but I’m out here, Colorado Springs, with work. Free gas and rental and time to spare after work. So I do it for the adventure, beats sitting in the hotel.

 

I was hoping you guys were kidding about the price, but a quick search verifies it- yikes

my local Krogers has a Matchbox dump bin - I’m going to have to look thru that next time…

I used to work at Target - like 25 years ago...
Even then, employees and a few select friends would ransack those Matchbox boxes almost as soon as they were unloaded from the truck
The good [collectible] stuff rarely made it to the shelfs.. to the point there was a special policy on the holiday Barbie crap, no pilfering the boxes for real

 

Those MiJo models are quite nice! Are they die cast?

 

Those can also be purchased on eBay for probably cheaper than the dealer cost.
