2025 4th gen Tacoma front window screeching when putting them down

I’ve tried wd40 silicon as recommended and still strong noises.. I guess it’s time to take it to the dealer? 2k miles mind you

 

Is it the mechanism or the felt on the glass?

 

how do I figure that out? Once it get hot outside the screeching starts

 

Pay attention to it. you'll be able to tell if it's the felt dragging on the glass as it goes down or if it's the mechanism. If it's the felt, then clean the glass and avoid glass cleaners that contain wax. If it's the mechanism then take it to the dealer.

 

As long as the glass that you can reach is clean, it's warranty time.

 

Something is expanding due to heat causing the rub.
