My wife loves hers too! We also went with non hybrid.

They do make lift kits for them, well at least 1 that I know of. Looks like a pain to instal. Maybe one day we’ll get one and AT tires.

 

My mother has a 2018 TRD offroad (non premium) and we love it. She just wishes it was a premium with no sunroof (very hard to find).

My wife is the opposite… she wants a lower model, like an SR5 because she wants cloth (doesn’t like leather)… but wants the Premium for a sunroof and power rear glass.

 

Power rear glass is standard dude

 

Same thing happened when we looked at a new T4R on a lot last month. The wife was not happy about how it looked, and I wasn’t impressed either.

Now we’re on the hunt for a (newer) used GX 460. We’ll probably buy one later this year once we finish doing some house renovations.

Then I’ll be going down the rabbit hole buying stuff for that lol

 

Good morning, "Old Line State" inhabitants.

I want a T case lever, factory e-locker and no sunroof, the Trail and newer Off Road trim checks those boxes. I need to retire my 3rd gen T4R soon and I want something that is similar to the core of that rig.

I remember the frustration of finding a clean AC Taco when I was shopping for one almost 5 years ago. I settled on the 4 banger that I have and honestly it did what I needed it to do, I'm past the point of it being useful to me. Now I have the old work truck that can do any job that I will ever need to get done it's time to send it down the road along with the old T4R and just have a nice 5th gen and the old GMC.

 

Why would someone NOT want sunroof? I miss mine from when I had an is250

Gm... did my 1st oil change on her... she had 6.4 in her. I put in just 6qt still looks a little over too me..

 

Headroom, for me. My head touches the headliner in my 3rd gen T4R. The few times that I've sat in a 5th gen, my head was too close to the sunroof slider and I never use a sunroof.

 

Well then just open up the roof

 

Made it onto the lake for the first time this season… went ok. Mechanically, everything was perfect. Weather wise, well that was not so much. Overcast all day, which we expected and knew. But the almost 90 degree weather, that never showed up. It never felt warmer than low 70’s and was windy as hell!! Wifey was cold and didn’t seem to be enjoying herself unless we tucked into a cove. I fished a few hours and was able to land a big girl…



…figured, soon as we got home the sun came out in full force.

Now that you have the snorkel, you could get in there with the truck too!

 

I absolutely HATE sunroofs.

i’m very tall and sunroofs compromise head room.
They always leak eventually. No matter what. Just like a skylight in the roof of your house, it will leak and it will fail eventually.


Plus, on a very specific note, if you do not clean out the drain lines on 3rd gen 4runners with sunroofs, they will rot the front fenders out completely.
