I'm getting a clanking from my ras suspension system when I go over a bump. I'm wondering if the ras spring is hitting my leaf spring

Doesn't look like you have much tension on the spring. Did you adjust it with the included guide thing ? I own the RAS kit but haven't installed it yet. I Did read the instructions !

If you want to see if that's the clunk, duct tape a piece of pool noodle or foam pipe insulation to your leaf spring.

I tighten it down to the point where I could barely get the black disc it. I also have about 700 pound in the rear of my truck right now. I'm setting at 20.5 inches in the rear with that gear in it.

700 pounds is a lot for this truck. Ain't no F350 !!! lol

The clank when you hit a bump with 700 pounds is because the coil spring of the RAS is loose at some point .

Tape an isolator of some sort on and don't carry so much weight all the time :)

I have a topo topper and then my gear. That's why i bought the ras. To stop the sag. So you say it's all lose with weight in it? I can tighten down the springs more. I could also upgrade to a beefier leaf pack

If you are going to carry all that weight, better leaf springs seem like a good idea !

I don't know about "all" loose but If it is the source of your clank, then looking at your photo makes it look like the coil spring is at it's limit at it's current setting.

Tightening the RAS more seems like a good first try.

How often you running with the 700 pounds? Even if you're constantly at only like 400-ish pounds I'd recommend getting a new leaf pack.

I'm a big proponent of the Deaver U402 Expedition springs. I run stage 3, but I'm WAY heavier than you. Stage 2 might a good option for you, depending on your usual weight.
