I bought the truck intending it to replace my old 1996, which you can see in the background. After a year or so of going back and forth about which to keep, I finally decided to keep the '96 Gen 1. The newer one was traded in on a new Subaru Ascent a few weeks back.

I found the '23 to be comfortable and liked most of the modern features, but it never really gave me the vibes I thought that it would. The DCLB was too long - really wanted an Access Cab version, but for some reason this Toyota region doesn't allocate many. I hated the hood scoop - it had no function but to reduce front visibility, which was already poor. Also the size and position of the side mirrors blocked my vision while turning. The heated seats were nice as was the ability to load a music library by usb drive.

I'm hopeful that a TW member will be the new owner. In that case, and you happen to read this post, I have some touch up paint (Blue Crush Metallic 8W7) that I can pass to you.

At least you are trading for a worthy vehicle - I kinda like the Foresters myself been happy with my 2017 Forester and wish
I could have bought 2 of them at the time. You should have no trouble finding a buyer.

How do you like the new Ascent? We pre ordered my moms Limited in 2018. We were one of the first people in the area. Probably the only Tungsten colored one in the area. We've been really happy with ours! Almost at 100k with no major issues!

You’ll be happy with the ascent. My wife loves hers, she has had it for a few years and she hasn’t had a single issue so far, just normal maintenance and some minor recalls the dealer takes care of. Very spacious inside, it’s been a great car to our family. Even when we have the 3rd row up, we can still fit two strollers in the back. My kids love the huge moon roof too.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
I’ll probably be fitting my testicles into the glovebox of one of these IMG_4348.jpg

We picked up a 2025 Outback about 4 months ago, it’s a fantastic vehicle, if they made one with a bed, I would seriously consider it : )

Yeah, we also traded in our 2017 Forester as part of the deal. Dealer actually gave us money back on the deal. Loved the Forester but needed a bit more cargo space. Loving the Ascent after 700 miles.

Yep, SOA will likely lose a few Outback customers. What were they thinking? The controlled the niche market with the Outback and then decided to make it into yet another small SUV. Go figure.
