I have to go with a legit cord on mine since I need 240v. I got to move some breakers around in my panel so I can do a lockout feature. I got just enough for another double pole.

 

So me and the Missus were outside chatting with a neighbor.
She works for the Township, and her hubby is a township cop.
They were busy loading up food to take to a friend's house.

She says we're at the very bottom of the list for getting our power back
No thru road, no businesses, only 30 houses here on the mountainside...

We're looking at probably Wednesday best case scenario.

I have one of the fridges running right now.
Next up are the other fridge, then the chest freezer.

 

Visited a friend who's sister was there who retired from Jersey Power (First Energy) she was showing me the outage map and the different colors and how fast they would respond to those area's. Looks like you're in a "green zone" which is low priority unfortunately. I was in one of the orange zone's (more people without power) which get taken care of more quickly. I know there's probably a couple dozen power trucks have rolled into the area from I'm assuming Eastern PA and Jersey.

Yup. We have 2 generators. I'm planning on making my old 1940s International LA motor into a generator eventually.

I shoulda started cycling the fridges/freezer earlier.
Mrs Gritto just had some ice cream and it was a little soft

Funny thing is, the ice cubes ain't melted

 

That was the first thing to get soft in my freezer. Didn't matter to me much, it wasn't my ice cream

We loaded up all the good frozen foods (Tyson prepared chicken stuff) and some cold stuff in a cooler and took to my friends to put in their fridge. Luckily the power came back on and I just brought it home and put it back where it was. Aunt/grandma still doesn't have power and I told them to put all their stuff in my spare/beer fridge but both are hard headed and decided it'll be fine. Whatever, I offered. I have two extra beds here as well so they could have gotten showers and charged everything, but nooo. I'm almost tired of trying to be nice...

 

Bout 6:30-7:00 for us.
