Lots of posts about Front Air Dams being removed, resulting in howling or whistling. Removed mine this morning and the howling/droning sounds were pretty annoying. I didn't love the looks without the Air Dam, but didn't like the looks with, so I compromised and trimmed it down by half. I like it allot better and no whistling or howling. To me, it looks like what the factory should have done to begin with. Sorry, pics aren't the best, hard to capture a black thing in the shadows... ;)

Ummm no. That looks bad too lol.
Much easier to order the plugs from Amazon for $10 and remove the air dam completely.

Its been done, no idea where the post is...
But yes, your pics & lighting is horrific, pointless post without being able to see the detail.
But if youre happy with the results, thats all that matters...

Heh, heh...so that proves it, taste is subjective. I don't really like it either, I only like it better than the stock version, and the cut version had no noise.

Plugs...strange, I've come across this as well in posts. I installed my stock fasteners after removal, still had the whistling noise, which many claim fixes the issue. I refuse to believe bad information somehow got on the internet, that would cause me to question everything from now on. LOL

I did some searching, no results for me n the topic other than removing the dam. I'm sure something is out there as I can't possibly be the first to do this.

Point taken on the photo quality, actually not typical for me to post such poor photos...

You’re looking at the wrong hole. The hole you need to plug are on the lower control arms not the screws you undid to remove the air dam. When you remove the air dam the air that is no longer deflected are making the whistling noise on the holes in the photos.

The original screws go back in their place, but to remove the whistle/howl you’ll need to plug 4 holes on each lower control arm.

I used these from Amazon, 10 plugs for $10. Simple and no noise.

Ace also has plugs that snap right in. Find them in the bulk bins. P/N 58138-D

what made you choose to keep the small bridge at the tow slots rather than cut it at the line into 3 pieces? Is that final small bridge really fragile?

I just thought it might maker for a neat cut line...easily could have cut the horizontal support out of the bottom but it does help the structure stay rigid I guess so I left it. Not fragile at all.
