    How it Began...

Unfortunately had to sell my Gen 2 SR5 DCLB with 200k miles due to a torque converter problem I couldn't fix because I didn't have $6500 to do it. (Had to drop the tranny to get to it so might as well gotten a new tranny...) Yeah I could have fixed myself if I had spent time with a wrench in my hand as a kid but it was skateboards and beer instead. And computers. Also, I hardly know where the toilet paper is most of the time. I love my Gen 2 waaaay more than my Gen 3 but she's growing on me. Hope you like the build and also hope this motivate you to get out of the concrete jungle every once in a while.

    Where shall we go?

The goal was to build my Dream Taco on a "budget". It had to be good for work or else I'd sell it for being lazy. I also needed a truck to be a truck. Like one that pulls stuff, loads stuff, drives on dirt and stuff. Any Tacoma is not in the budget category off the lot; but I chose a brand new 2023 SR5 DCLB at 5 miles on the odo as it was $5K cheaper than a TRD OffRoad. I never needed a locker for my active lifestyle before with the Gen 2 so I won't need it as I get older and get more hemrrhoids with my Gen 3. Yeah I would have loved all the other bells and whistles but then then I wouldn't have any other change to buy real tacos from a taco truck. Seriously, I am poor and if I can't tacos, then what's the point? But luckily, I live in a part of California that doesn't cost an arm and a leg to breathe the air and I can afford an overpriced hunk of metal made in Mexico to fall in love with. I had no plans on upgrading anything on this truck...but then I fell in love.

Build so far in stoner-alogical order.

-RC Country Neoprene Seat Covers (For wet and dirty waders that smell like farts)
-ProTech Protector for Touch Screen Stereo, Cockpit Dials, Door Pillars
-265/75/r16 Mazama Open Range A/T Plus Tires
    -LED Dome Light Swap
    -Husky Mats
-Poser Blacked out TRD Pro Grill Swap
    -Chrome Delete
    -Air Dam Delete
    -Philips H9 Headlight Lamp Swap
-TACOMA Black Chinese printed font on tailgate
-Yakima Racks with Rod Holder and Rocket Box
-OTT Tune then put on the KDMAX 10.0 tune (Tuner had both ;))
-Bluetooth CarPlay Adapter (The SR5 is wired CarPlay stock. Is the TRD the same? I wouldn't hope so.)
-ICON RXT Leaf Pack - Option 2 (My truck is always filled with stuff and Yakima stuff is always full of stuff.)
-Bilstein 5100's Front and Back (4th Clip up front)
-Black Rhino Stadium in Bronze 16 X 8 -10 offset
    -Diode Elite Fog Lights
    -Yakima MOD Homebase in Bed
    -PoP LocK for tailgate
-Hooke Road Black Tailgate Plastic Panel
    -Perry Parts Front Bump Stops
    -Falcon Rear Bump Stops
    -BackCountry Dog Seat Cover
    -Vedavoo Visor Fly Holder
-Cali Raised Rear Mudflaps with white "4WD"
    -AVS Window Visors
    -CaliRaised Bed Stiffeners

Nice, I like it. Out of curiosity, what does Chinese font on the tailgate look like?

It's that lettering you can buy to fill in the "TACOMA"
