Yeah, that's the crankcase breather hose that allows fresh filtered air to be drawn into the crankcase. That RM guy is dead wrong about there not being one.

    ^^^^
    Yeah, like what he said.

So… would you put this kit on your truck?

    He says ,
Which is wrong because pretty much all engines have a breather to let fresh air into the crankcase to replace what the engine vacuum draws out through the PCV.

I wouldn't, no, because I have no use for it since I'm not going to be doing any kind of wheeling that would make it necessary. The engine doesn't really care where the crankcase fumes are drawn from and the kit looks to be a good solution for those who do wheel and have had problems. That being said, there have been several threads on TW about oil fill caps just randomly falling off. Hopefully that doesn't happen with this kit.

Sort of related: Does anyone here by chance happen to have a part number for the nice spring clamps holding the SAIS/air injection system hoses? I count six of them and a couple of them are getting a bit rusty. Tnx.

I believe any of these can be sourced at any hardware store. Just bring your old one. it’s just a hose spring clamp
