Quicksand with hood protector, color matching decals on tailgate latch, mudflaps, glovebox, and tailgate hitch cover.
A couple of years ago, I learned about the automatic tailgate lock for tacomas, but they were also only available to Southeast Toyota dealers at the time, much like you say this is/was. I just ordered it from a dealer in Raleigh NC and had him ship it to me, so I would say to do the same thing here. I do know that McGeorge Toyota is great at online ordering and shipping, so I am sure other dealers in the southeast will be more than willing to ship it to you.

I had it on a Dodge ram worked great. I also tried to put on a Jeep GC that had the perimeter entry (touch and go) and I was unable to get it to lock with keyfob in car, because if the keyfob was in car you could not lock the vehicle.

Interesting but definitely not $360 shipped interesting, plus I'm pretty sure I can unlock my Tacoma with the Toyota app.

You can get just the keypad, wiring and its hardware. 00016-00506-DL which goes for around $175.

The full kit comes with 00016-00506-BS which is stickers, and 00016-00506-DK which is the "install tool kit." The tool kit just comes with a magnetic window ruler, and a 3d printed keypad holder to help install and alignment.

Technically all you need 00016-00506-DL to do this mod. The rest is optional parts for $$$

Ok here’s the deal. I took it back to the dealership under warranty. A tech looked at it, asked a few questions internally and discovered that when they prepped the truck to go back onto the lot for sale after trade in it was disabled. A worker thought it was a gps used to track the truck in case of theft or in the event of repo so he removed the harness that powered the keypad. (Sounded a little hokey too me) regardless they opened a new one and took the harness and reactivated mine.
I can see where it might come in handy around the house like walking out to the truck and not having your keys or just giving someone access to your truck for something without giving them your keys. If I were to have bought the truck new it would not be an option I would have paid for.

Yep I'm trying to rip mine out, apparently though you can lock the truck with the keys in it with this.

Does it block the windshield enough that you want to tear it out? Apparently, it can be mounted remotely. I thought about mounting it to the back of the cab. :notsure:

Yup. Adding that, plus KTJO grab handle, and Heads Up Display, that corner will be too busy for me. Thanks for the picture! I'll be installing it on the rear window:

I have to keep the childrens hospital sticker there for work, security is nazis, but the other stickers coming off. I don’t know what I’m gonna do with it either leave it or just pull the main piece or disconnect the harness and leave the wiring in the pillar. Back definitely will be better.

I have this on my 22 taco and I use it all the time. It’s great when I go surfing and I can lock my Keys and Fob in the Cab, I use a Faraday bag to keep thieves from scanning and stealing!!
I have had it installed since new in 22. all of a sudden it is now interfering with the Fob Remote Start and the dealership is worthless when it comes to tracking down the issue!!
I’m going to try and find the Manual and installation instructions see if I can figure it out. Anyone have any suggestions??

I’m in Maui part of the time and SoCal the rest. Sunny is good, both places I’ve had problems with thieves, a good swing of a Hammer and just about all lockboxes will open! So I don’t advertise a box anymore.
lock the keys in a Faraday bag and keypad for the win. No more lost keys while surfing or a long wait for AAA! Lmao
    My main issue now is
My Remote Start isn’t working and the stealership is saying it’s the keypad.
Funny it worked for a few months and now nothing. Pad still functions perfectly. Just no Remote start.

    • Have you tried disconnecting the keypad?
    • What happens when you try the fob remote start?
    • Do you have the App that can start the truck?
    • Is there a sundown period on your remote start that requires a subscription?

My 2021 OR came with one of those. I’ve never used it and probably never will. May even remove it.

I did disconnect it and tried the Fob start and still not working. Has to be something in the wiring. I never had the subscription.
the FOB always worked although the distance was terrible! Lmao had to be within 30’ of the truck to get the remote to even connect! I changed the fob battery to see if that would do anything and still nothing. Took it to the dealership today and they said it’s something in the wiring although they didn’t dig deep enough to tell me where the problem might be! FFS
    Any help would be huge
