    Hey yall,

I recently installed a Sony XAVAX6000 stereo w/ Maestro in my 2015 Base Taco. The installation went smooth and everything works except one thing. My CarPlay is stuck in dark mode. There’s no option to make it light and it doesn’t respond to the fact that my phone itself is in light mode. My dimmer switch works as the display does dim when my lights are on, and my instrument cluster brightness wheel doesn’t change this either. Has anyone run into this problem? Feel like I’ve tried everything.

I would try disconnecting the battery. I don’t know for how long. But it’s worth a try. It may be just a typical glitch that needs power shut off a bit so the unit can reboot

You should think about doing a system reset and see if that fixes it. That should put everything back to when you first got it. Not sure if you had to do a lot of configuration/setup when you got it and you may have to do that again after the reset.

Did you ever sort this out? Currently happening to me, CarPlay has two options in Settings
    - Automatic
    - Always Dark

I have it set to Automatic and my iPhone set to Light mode, but no luck. CarPlay still has a dark theme going, making Maps hard to see during the day.
I know it that at one point it used to work correctly, but not sure when it stopped.
Will update if I get it sorted.
