    Hello,

In the last month I replaced the wheels on my 2006 Tacoma DC 4WD. I had the OEM 16x7" wheels on prior and I switched to Mickey Thompson Classic III wheels (16x8, 0mm offset, 106.1mm bore, 6x5.5" BCD). I reused the same tires which are Michelin Defender LTX M/S in 265/70R16 sizing. Ever since I've owned the truck, there has been a slight vibration at ~60MPH, however, after swapping my wheels the vibration became much worse. I have personally rebalanced the tires 3 times at my dealership including road force on a Hunter Elite machine (using the Haweka adaptor). After the most recent balance and switching the location of the tires a few times, the vibration is similar to how it was before the new wheels. The vibration only occurs between 55-70 mph, however, it will occasionally disappear entirely, even on the same sections of road at the same weather conditions.

I verified the center bore of one of the wheels to be 106.68mm, but I can't imagine 0.5 mm would be enough to cause this issue, especially since I'm using the proper 60 degree conical lug nuts at the specified torque.

    Other known data:
    • ~0.24 degree total toe (0.12 degree each side).
    • 3.1 and 3.2 degree caster for FL and FR wheels respectively.
    • 0.1 degree camber both sides.
    • 36 PSI front and rear.
    • Tires at 6/32" and 8/32".

I wanted to reach out and see if anyone has seen issues like this before as I have scoured the forums only to find standard vibration issues. Any input would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    -Thomas
