Wife is coming up needing a new vehicle.

    Here's her criteria:
Not sitting low on the ground like a car.
    Must be a hybrid.
    Small SUV or wagon type.
Would like to stay under $52,000 Canadian.
If possible $42,000 for a couple year old.
    Not older than a 2023.

She's been looking at the Toyota crown signia a bit high on price.
Doesn't mind the Honda CR-V hybrid, Mazda cx50 hybrid.

    So what would you get?
Toss em out there for me.
    Thanks

My wife just got a Corolla Cross and loves it. The XLE AWD Hybrid is right in your ball park new. A little smaller than a RAV4. Shorter and taller than a Corolla. Check the Toyota Canada website.
    Cheers.

My wife has 2023 RAV4LE. She is happy with it. The problem with it is the 2023 RAV4 has a keyless ignition in the upgrades (the XLE and others). I don't know about the later models.

My wife has a 2021 RAV4 XLE Hybrid All Wheel Drive. We both love this car! Never causes us a moment's problem, we are just doing routine maintenance. Incredible fuel economy. Ours was built in Japan. I would strive to get one built in Japan if you can afford to be picky. Alternatively, RAV4s are also built in Ontario, Canada, and in Kentucky.

I have to say that many of Toyota's offerings lately, have been quite handsome! For the longest time, they've always been very conservative and almost homely looking cars.

Whatever it is, take a ride in the passenger seat. I'm 5'9" maybe 5'10 on a good day and bang my head on the roof of some of those mini hybrids....
