Fellas... We may have an issue. I recently swapped spark plugs and now I have a very interesting sucking-in-air noise when I rap the gas, not at high rpm's, or repeated. It only happens during the initial press. If I am at a high rpm, and I press a significant amount more, the sound happens again. What could the issue be? I checked the tubing and couldn't find any cracks. I was thinking maybe the spark gaps? but I dont have any misfires.

    Yeah.
I can't think of any way a spark plug change could cause an air sucking noise like you describe. I would be looking at everything in the intake path, and make sure all vacuum hoses got reconnected properly. My guess is that something got knocked loose during the change, or didn't go back together the same way.

    What motor?
    Stock intake or aftermarket?
Can you take a video and post it to YouTube?

The 2nd gen forum, which your truck is, may be more helpful that the general talk forum you are in.

The plugs are unlikely to have any direct coorelation. More likely is that something removed/moved during the replacement did not get put back in place correctly.

You have a throttle plate issue.

The only way to fix it is to jam the accelerator to the floor, and potentially scream WEEEEEEEEEE!!!! As the truck rockets off to mars. At least until the fuel runs out.

In all reality, nothing is wrong with your vehicle, it's just part of how internal combustion engines moderate their speed. By managing the amount of air entering the combustion chamber.

It's also how vehicle vacuum pressure is created.

Did you remove the intake manifold or anything other than the coils and plugs?

Did you remove the intake when you changed the passenger side plugs and maybe didn't fully reseat it? Not sure that would cause the noise you're hearing, just a shot in the dark.
