I was going to run my factory tires a bit longer but after a freak snow storm last week I changed my mind and had my tires installed. These things are really nice, very quiet on the highway despite a more aggressive tread than the Goodyear’s.

I love mine. Great in deep snow.

Been running these for a month now and I’m really impressed. Quieter than the Goodyear Wrangler’s and great traction.

    Stuff I don't need.
I drive 30-35k fast and hard miles per year on highways, through curvy hills, and on fire roads. I’m on my third set in three years. Longevity, they suck. But they grip in snow, they’re good on the gas tank, and quiet on the highway. They were over priced when I first bought them but seeing how they have given me my third set on a pro rated fee because of the 60k warranty, it helps when I need new rubber. Only paid $700 for them the second time and $800 the third when I upgraded to the 3rd gen Taco and a bigger tire. My only gripe, the tire needs to be almost bald for them to honor the warranty, so if you live where it snows, drive a lot (and maybe fast), this might not be the one you want for longevity unless you can commit to it to save money each time they need to be replaced. I’ve tried a lot of tires for my job (traveling Fly fishing guide who pulls a boat most of the time) and still can’t find the one that lasts longer than a year to year and a half. I put in work on my tires so I’m all about a good warranty and also need a convenient location for rotations. Les Schwab is the only option for me where I live and they get I done quickly when it’s time. Great customer service….I just wish they lasted longer.

i purchased a set of four in october, stock size, for my trd sport 265/65R17. so far i have put about 6K miles on them.

i had vibration issues initially and they replaced two of the four that were out of round. they have been OK since. i lost about 1-2 MPG over the toyo A30 that came with the truck from the factory but i am not surprised.

traction seems good in snow, mud, and rain as expected particularly with a new tire like this.

for some strange reason, they seem to handle noticeably better below 60 MPH than at faster speeds where they seem squirrely. i run the air pressure at 38 psi and do not like it any lower.

i plan to put the toyo's back on in spring and run them through the summer. i will put the open range on again in the fall and run them another year or so until they are worn out, which for me is about 5/32. unless i become more impressed with them, i will purchase another brand/model tire when it's time.

Bump….thinking about these in the 265 75 16 116. Any other reviews? I do quite a bit of road travel and adventuring off road but no real “wheelin” so I can’t justify the E range. They do seem like heavy tires.
They’re also speedy but living out west I love how there’s an LS in every small town and their service has always been consistently good.
    Thanks!

Mine are approaching 50k mileage. Pull a 5100 lb trailer. Run 45-50 psi when towing. Minor forest road use. Great in snow for sure. And hard rain. Will buy them again. I went up one size from factory size.

I have 37,000 miles on mine. About 9/32 tread left. Have been driven in various road conditions on and off road in the last 5 years. Overall I'm satisfied. Most likely will buy again when time to replace. As other have stated pricey, but there is a Les Schwab in most small towns, if a need arises. C load is the way to go for the weight of our trucks.

Wild peaks on my 21 and always thought it was the best feel (inspired confidence)through the steering wheel and on all surfaces.
Took the trailhunter back to the northwest with 3600 miles I went to Les Schwab and ask them for a set of wild peaks, had lots of conversation about these open range version according to them, they’re made by the same company. Additionally was told I had 60 days to change my mind with no repercussion so I said let’s go. (Keep in mind I’m not one of those guys that run back to Costco when I’m done using a product) for return. Got to drive it this morning for the first time, but with the first 70 miles on a road I drive every week two things stood out to me that I am not fond of.
The first thing - and, I actually noticed it the second I drove away on Friday is that my steering wheel is now permanently offset to the right, no matter what surface no matter the road pitch. I am always staring at a crooked steering wheel. That is something I just cannot tolerate it was perfect from the day of purchase and until the day I pulled out with these new tires.
Second, when I first bought the truck, I begged the dealer to swap the good years for a set of wild Peak’s off another one sitting on the lot and they refused. I figured I’d get the cross country drive done, and then do the swap. That’s how much I like them however, since I am giving these open range a try here we go. This morning the only thing I could concentrate on (other than the steering wheel) was a vibration coming through the truck that I have never felt before, and not just through the steering wheel, but all the way up through the cab into the seat and straight up my spine. not some thing I was able to stop thinking about the entire trip. There is a 100% chance I’m taking this truck back tomorrow to try to figure out what’s causing that was hoping not to have to deal with silliness so early on in my relationship with my new trailhunter yoink.
    yes they are E load

Follow up- so I was told bring it in we’ll recheck balance and try the rotation check for true and the works.
So I jump in the truck and roll the 70 miles back to town, and “wait what the” now it rides as smooth as glass. So I’m going to keep testing these tires out.
I have no suggestions on what changes occurred over night! The only difference is the ride out of town was 36 deg. Raining
And sleeting a little and medium wind. The ride back was 62 deg. calm and no wind.
