I don't have either right now. Need new springs because I am getting the w shape in my springs. I think I'm going to order the j59's soon, and order the relocation kit after. Then the shocks. Nervous that the shocks are going to be a long wait though.
So your 2.0x10s aren't fully compressed at full stuff? and do you feel like you're loosing some droop at full extension?

I have bumpstops which are preventing full compression and tearing off my fenders, but the issue is that the shock are at full extension at full droop. I wish there were another 1" of travel or so.

Talk to Total Chaos and say that you want to install the relocation first and take measurements. They'd be willing to sell the shocks to you when you are ready, and I know they stock the 2.0x10" bypasses that are packaged with their relocation kit. If you end up having to wait for 12" shocks, at least you end up with the right length.

I run J59's with Bilstein 7100 Shortbody 10" shocks. I was breaking 8" shocks due to overextension. I haven't had a problem since I switched to the 7100's. They fit in the stock locations because they're a 10" travel shock in an 8" shock body. Love this combo and would highly recommend for a relatively cheap set up. I'm too cheap for Kings or Icons.

I like the sound of this. Are your shackles stock length?

No, I have lift shackles too. I believe they are 2 or 3" longer than stock.

Ok, thanks man. Curious if this is contributing to the 7100 short bodies working, or do you think they'd work with standard length shackles? Also, are these the resi 7100's?

It would work just fine with regular shackles. I believe the short body 7100's only come with resi's. They are kind of annoying to mount up, but they do fit.

What made them annoying to mount? I think I read that they have orbital eyes that need to be pressed out in favor of rubber bushings...is there anything else?

The reservoirs are just big. There's not a lot of room down there. You have to orient them perfectly so they don't hit the spare tire, the springs, or the e-brake cable.

Yes, you press out the heims for hourglass bushings. I used Energy Suspension 9.8108 bushings.

Got it, sounds like you're running them 'body down'?

Took a couple of pics for you. As you can see, it's pretty tight.

Absolutely is! Thanks for the pics, that helps understand what you meant. I haven't been carrying my spare, so for good or for bad, at least that seems to give a little breathing room.

my spare is extra big too. That's a 33. I had to cut off the ends of the spare cradle to make it fit. It barely clears the exhaust.
