I've read seemingly one million threads and feel as if I'm getting close. Wanted to post for some final advice before I pull an expensive trigger tomorrow.

I'm looking for advice on which leaf springs to choose, in conjunction with Firestone Air Ride-Rite.

    I'm in a '96 SR5 Manual V6 extended cab.

I'll be living full time in a slide in camper off the back come July. No significant off-road use in my future, but plenty of long trips and FS roads in the PNW. Camper weight 1250lbs wet. This isn't a discussion about GVWR :D

I'm between OME Dakar #CS019R and #CS020R (Both are Hilux, 20R is HD,) All Pro Off Road Expeditions (Seem to require relocation) or General Springs (Although they are out of stock on the HD currently.)

If anyone has a strong enough use case, I am willing to look at AAL or other options, but like all things 96, it's gonna be pretty specific.

    Thanks for the help.

I'll bump and add that a lift is not necessarily what i'm looking for. And i'm really not sure how much the dakar 2.5 would settle with that kind of weight

I've got the ride rites paired with cradles and OME HD Dakar leafs, 6ys ago we lived in the truck with wife +2 dogs for 1.5ys. did a lot of road + offroad & it's been working really well for us. That's my recommendation. I had just the dakars back there, but adding the airbags completely changed the ride & made it feel much safer on the road. Before airbags, it felt like any bump/articulation in the road- the bed/camper would direct the bounce/reaction of the whole ride. After airbags, it squared up the truck and made it feel much more solid/whole- if that makes sense. You may not need the cradles paired with the airbags, if no lift/offroading is in your future. But if it is, that's a great way to keep flex & not tear bags.

I bet the CS019R and bags would be pretty happy with that weight, and then could always add the AAL (pretty sure thats the only difference with the 20R) if needed
I have them (no aal) and they are stiff as hell without weight, they only start to act nice when I'm fully loaded for a trip.
