Not all.

We want a grease that thins out dramatically.

The grease should be very similar to gear oil after it heats up.

That grease needs to be very " fluid" like once you are rolling down the road.

Make sure the grease you are using is labeled, "axle grease".

That grease you linked will work fine.

 

Always buy grease rated for disc brakes and you are good. It will have a higher temperature rating.

Sometimes you will find a value line grease only rated for drums if you read the label.

 

With a fresh battery & gas the old ZT rumbled to life with about 15 seconds cranking.

Mowed at the garage and then changed the oil, 644 hours.
I went 44 hours last year, when you consider that an average in town lawn takes me about 20 minutes that is a lot of mowing.

Wonder of wonders all the tires were still up, unusual for me.



I vacuum the oil out, the "EZ drain" that Kirk is so fond of has never been opened.

They are paving the road in front of our house. Saw this guy measuring yesterday on my way home. He was doing 18 mph.

Hope they grease the wheel on that thing.

 

I wonder if he installed it onto the intended car that first bracket was made for.

Does anyone have a mini grease gun, something that doesn’t need cartridges but can go off a refillable reservoir?

Does such a thing exist? Google hasn’t been effective for me.

Reason I’m asking, the zero turn calls for ONE zerk to be a copper based lube and I don’t want to have my full sized gun changed over…
