Howdy people. Figured I’d make about my progress with tubbing my firewall and installing total chaos plus 2 long travel. I will be running 35s with a -22 offset.

Cool, looking forward to seeing pictures of the progress. Have you considered the C4 Fab body mount relocation to get that cab mount out of the way?

Little update. Finished tubbing the passenger side, I put down some automotive seam sealer on the inside and outside of the truck. Sprayed it with some self etching primer and under body coating from raptor liner. I used matte black tractor paint on the frame.

for tubbing the firewall I used 22ga sheet metal, I found it to be the best for me to not blow holes in the sheet metal. (I hate welding sheet metal) I also reinforced the cam tab as well, I used some 3/16 rod I had laying around and that seemed to work pretty well. I did have to trim back my bumper to clear the 35s.

put new bearings in the coilovers also. If you’re looking to rebuild your own coilovers or just replacing some bearings check out shockseals.com great CS and fast shipping.

I started on the driver side this evening, I was able to get the coil bucket gussets burned in, limit strap mount, reservoir brackets and diy cam tab gussets. Tomorrow I’ll start cutting into the firewall. I’ll try to remember to take more pictures tomorrow.

Pretty much all finished just need to trim the fenders a little. Truck goes Monday for an alignment, I’ll post the alignment sheet. In my first post I said the wheel were a -22 offset, not sure where I got that number.. but they’re actually -9 offset.. I didn’t take very many pictures when doing the drivers side, was fighting against rain and snow on Thursday and Friday.

In my unprofessional opinion if you plan on tubbing your vehicle, give yourself ample time to finish it. Take your time and don’t rush it. It took me about a week to get everything done.
For me removing the fenders gave me lots of room to work but isnt necessary to remove them.

for the firewall I used 22ga sheet metal, seam seal I got off Amazon (will post a link to it) and raptor liner underbody coating to paint the firewall and wheel well. I also used a welding blanket to help keep the wiring safe while grinding and welding.

So far the truck rides great! Played around with it yesterday evening front feels amazing as for the rear… it needs work I’m out running the rear pretty quick.

Not sure what I’ll do for the rear, my original plan was to do Chevy 63s and a 14” shock. Not sure if I’ll still go that route or do something else.

I also got my alignment done yesterday too, I’ll post up a picture of the sheet.

Looks sick. Really makes me want to pull the trigger on the Marlin Crawler RCLT I've had on my wish list forever.
