yah i talked to them at SEMA in November. They did refit them so they now fit the entire 2nd gen range without hacks or should be so good to hear that it fit well.

The A13 and Vivid are both A13 units but Vivid as he noted is his friends company and US based where Dasaita is China based. If you don't like the UI you can change it and run vivid or vice versa but all software there.

If its anything like the old setup as long as your connected to hot spot or wifi should be good. Not all of the apps will work though. Most will download though. I was talking to them about supporting more BT devices like switch pro, batter monitors etc. that currently wont work. The BT chip as I understand it is not setup to connect o more than BT Audio devices. (Sounded like they had not changed this yet).

Can you snap a photo of it installed from the side and behind? I am curious how much it hangs over and if my Tpam from expo essentials would still work with this setup. It was hard to tell in person as they did not have the full mount only the unit on display.

In case you still needed help, for my 2012 base radio I got it working with my joying. There is a short adapter needed I believe I bought the scoshe brand called Toyota factory usb adapter, the kicker is it plugs into the USB plug at the multimedia ECU behind the glove box, and the adapter is so short you end up needing another USB extension cable to go from the adapter behind the dash to the back of the radio.

Looking at upgrading to the 10 inch G13 or the Mekede DUDU7 11 inch and buying the dash adapter separate, but the prices are hard to justify when I already have a working Joying.

Thank you, I shall try and get this and the OEM port. I somehow have thrown mine away after the years.

So the oem plug on the lower dash below the AC stays plugged into a factory harness, and the adapter plugs in further up the harness behind the glove box? Then from adapter to new radio.
I have a decently long female usb on it right now just dangling through the open port below the AC controls.

Yes the factory usb wiring does not go up to the radio, it stops at the multimedia ECU, you unplug it from the ECU and just use the harness side, the ECU is no longer needed.

While I don't have a Dasaita head unit, I do have an Android head unit and I'm having an issue if I touch the radio icon, the radio will play momentarily for a second or 2 then turn off and go back to the Home Screen every single time. CarPlay works great. Is there a setting I'm missing somewhere?

Maybe try a hard reset? Clear cache, etc.

Turns out the unit doesn't like to keep the radio going once CarPlay is connected. If I disconnect from wifi/bluetooth for CarPlay, the radio works fine. Quirky but workable I guess. Glad there isn't an issue with it!
