    I plan on doing a Michigan trip next year so I too would like to hear what people recommend.
    So far my plan is Minneapolis to Milwaukee, take the ferry to Muskegon, do some dune driving in Silver Lake, drive the tunnel of trees, spend the night on Mackinac Island, then do some exploring along the coast on the UP. All that is spread across 5-7 days.

    We go up to Marquette each year for the LSPR forest rally in October. Grey and rainy most of the time but what a beautiful part of the north country!
