@Muddinfun Since you seem to know about these things and I...

Really really don't, is there a way to disable DRL's completely?

I *always* have my lights on when driving, I uninstalled some DRL box behind the front left headlight that allowed my lights to function like they did on my 1st gen (I leave my headlight stalk switch in the on position so my lights come on when I start the truck and go off when I open the door after taking the key out.)

My issue is when I switch the headlight stalk switch to off the turn signals stay lit in the DRL mode, with my LED switchbacks they're about as bright as stock headlights.

What I want is the ability to kill all exterior running lights when the stalk switch is rolled back to off so I can sit in my truck without lights shining at people in the parking lot or into folk's windows when I'm using a driveway to turn around etc.

On the light stock switch I want to be

    OFF
    DRL
    Headlights

    IIRC Currently it's
    DRL
    Running
    Headlights

Whatever DRL box you uninstalled by the left headlight, was not OEM. You mention switchbacks. They function different than OEM DRLs, so it’s hard to tell what somebody did.

Tacos came with or without DRL. If you have factory DRL, the turnsignal filament is used for DRL/ turn signal, and the park light filament is unused. Switchbacks use the park light “filament” for white and the turn signal “filament” for amber with amber getting priority. If both sets of LEDs are powered, the light will be amber.

So, if you’re going to make any changes, it’s important to know what they do with that box plugged in and what they do with it unplugged. In other words, when are they white and when are they amber? Also describe exactly when you want DRL and what color you want it, in each stalk position.

This is going to be like Stevie Wonder trying to drive from Miami to Fort Lauderdale, but I’ll take a stab at it.

Hi, to bring this back from the dead, did anyone get this to work? I would love to have the SmartTap LED Flasher work on my 2013 with DRL. I'm fine with losing my DRL's but I can't lose my trailer lights as I tow alot.

    Thanks
