I've got a patch of that too. Luckily not in a place I care about but I know I need to stay on top of it to keep it that way.

That's what I'm here for, the mods and the gear.
Howzit Taco drivers in Colorado! I'll be in Pueblo first week of June and looking for things to do for a few days after the 2nd, specifically off the pavement and camping. Stock TRD OR 4x4 full skids and sliders, RTT, no winch. So not looking to get into trouble but get out and explore. Responses, links, and messages are appreciated.

Still a lot of snow here then, keep eye on this as trails are reported as "open"

Check out Bishop Castle. It's about an hour's drive from Pueblo. It's not exactly "off pavement" but you can drive 78 to get there via dirt if you want.

Also feel free to drop a sixer of Moon Man off at my place on the way.

I grew up a few towns over from the brewery. Moved out of state before I was of legal drinking age but I still like to pick some up when I'm visiting family.

Another drive you might look into is Medano Pass into the Great Sand Dunes.

The 87 was picked up today around 6:30 pm. It took 10 days to process the transaction. BAT has a company called Caramel that acts as escrow for fund and title transfer along with transportation coordination. Funds were direct deposited to my bank yesterday. Communication with BAT and Caramel was excellent.

Was your plan always to flip that truck? I'm a little sad and surprised you sold it so quickly. With the way you take care of Winkle, I thought you'd polish that thing up and hang onto it forever.

I pretty much knew I was going to get it running well and sell it on BaT. I don't have use for two off road vehicles, and the body is too good to make it a rock crawler. Also, I didn't want to leave a vehicle outside. Notice the 87 is fixed up and sold before hail season starts, so I can put my daily driver back in the garage.

I was very tempted to restore the 87 and if I was retired (targeting Dec 2027), I definitely would have. Since I am still working, I know a restoration would take too much time away from vacations with my wife and wheeling with Winkle.

I was pleasantly surprised with the whole BaT experience. BaT's specialist guided me through each step of the process. They include a CarFax report in their fee. Caramel made the post auction transaction smooth.

My Travelers home owners insurance just send me a letter. My deductible is now $5k. We got a new roof 2 years ago & it was $2.5k but I guess those days are long gone. I’m grateful they didn’t raise it more but I’m sure they will in time

    Congrats on selling it!

I've got a similar pic from this last week. My babies are coming back home! I moved to Dallas March of '24 for a new job after getting laid off. But it recently transitioned to remote, so I'm getting the F out of TX! Will be back in CO next month. E46 M3 and JK getting trailered up. Driving the GX. Really miss my Taco though!

Who did you end up finding for shipping and what’s the rough cost?

It was pretty convoluted tbh. I went through Uship to get quotes. Went with Consumer direct Transport due to lowest bid and highest ratings. But they're basically the same thing Uship is...they then contracted out the shipping to UZ Auto Transport in CO. And they have a guy based in TX that runs from TX to CO almost every week. The cost being held by Uship is $1600 and will be released Monday once the vehicles are actually delivered.

Edit: and UZ asked for $150 cod due to jeep being oversized (lifted and 37" tires)
