Front diff axle seals...different right and left?

    Hey all, getting parts ordered for re-booting my cv axles, and figured I'd grab some new diff seals (although I was pretty sure I had extras from when I did this last, about 9-10 years ago).

    In pulling the parts up on a Toyota site, it looks like the left and right are different part numbers...
    $11 90311-47027 Toyota Genuine Parts - Seal, Type T Oil (90311-47027)
    90311-47027 Right, and
    $25 90311-47013 Toyota Genuine Oil Seal for Differential Side Gear Shaft
    90311-47013 Left.

    The thing is, I swear (almost 100% positive) I was sold at Toyota, and used the same part on both sides. I also went out and dug in to my center console where the extras have been living for almost a decade and I've got a pack of two 90311-47027.

    Is my memory not serving me correctly (distinct possibility) or did I successfully use the same seal on both sides? Does anyone remember if the seals were the same previously?

    IIRC, they’re different. One side is larger in diameter

    Hmmm, I wish my memory didn't suck. Maybe I just replaced one side...

    I'll order 47013 and cover my bases.
