Are Those 2 temperatures represent the oil temp snd transmission temp?

What's the limit? Is that even written down anywhere?

The thermostat opening temp is not the exact operating temp of the engine. That's not how cooling systems work. Things fluctuate, it's not an exact science.

Well, all I know is that the thermostat is supposed to be open @180°F. So 200 and over is for "me" over the limit.
I may be wrong. I really hope you don't have a blow head gasket with such temperatures in a long run.
Have you change your coolant or thermostat lately?

206 is double the canadian "limit" :poking:

I've always gone by anything over 100C/212F? is "overheating"

Anything over 120C/250F is damage territory.

Had a highlander on friday that hit 140C/284F No damage thankfully, but holy crap was it close.

Don't need to be rude. We are here to learn and adjust from each others.
Even if you do this for a job , you definitely suck at your job cuz your tacoma is not even towing or have a load with 500 or 900lbs in the back. However, the temperature is already at 206F.
I don't know how it will be if you put some load onto your truck.
I also go thru hills when I drive from 11 hrs in I10 going from El paso to houston but I never seen my '13 tacoma 2.7L reached a temperature over 192°F while driving.

Check your truck cuz you may have an issue.

Max operating temp depends on the engine but for the most part your not gona cause any damage until you start pushing past around 220-230.

Most often damage from overheating isn't caused by the actual coolant temp being too high but the lack of coolant in the engine due to a leak or air in the system.

Yes you Said it right. Getting close to 212 without a load is definitely damage territory.

    Now who's being rude

Dang man, you asked me how long it's been since I changed the coolant on my truck.
All I meant was I do this stuff for a living on all kinds of vehicles, so I have a pretty big frame of reference for what can be considered normal.

    Relax

I let my shit box overheat to 210 when I'm eating lunch with the AC on facing the sun lol. It's fine.

My truck gets so hot the AC actually kicks off.

    No damage! Overheating is subjective.

So I'll get in your idiot boat with you.

Well, if you are looking after your truck that's great. We have different experience and I respect it.

Thx , there are so many different types of tempatures for 150F for ones to 180F for others.
I do believe we should add some sensors to check the real temperature of the engine oil and transmission fluid while operating the truck.

Also, might check where you are or location . For example Texas have high temperature driving cross State to State. And your location may be different temperature. Like mined Anti-freeze 50/50 And Arizona is 60/40
