    I’m stumped,

I’m having some Electrical issues, basically the dash lights started flickering one day and extended turn over during startup to the point my truck wouldn’t start

As far as troubleshooting, I’ve since replaced my battery, alternator, starter, ignition coils/spark plugs, fuses and looked for faulty wiring

I did “upgrade” my alternator/starter with PA Performace but kept the OEM wiring. I’m not seeing any over/under charge issues with the battery or anything so I don’t see this being the issue

My UG shows the alternator voltage to be running anywhere between 13.85 and 14

The truck is running but I’m still having the flickering lights and turn over during start up, and hearing a ticking noise periodically while driving, it runs fine mechanically but I can’t seem to pin point the issue

This almost feels like there is something wrong with the security feature but I’m not exactly sure how to trouble shoot that

    Truck is an 2006 4.0L

Security wise it would still turn over fine, just wouldn’t fire

Sounds like a bad ground, I’d check and clean them all. Now is a good time to do a wiring upgrade too, you don’t really want to run an upgraded alternator on stock wiring

    minor tweaks
Poor connection somewhere, start with the last electrical thing you worked on.

to add, I do have to unlock my truck (reset the security) sometimes before it fires, this isn’t every time though

I’ll comb the wiring again and see what I find, I have some 2/0 battery wires I plan to install I just haven’t gotten around to it
