2006 Tacoma 1GR-FE Engine Swap

I should have picked them up from partsouq for 150 since I know 100% they will be oem…guess I’ll keep the factory ones

 

Shop told me it was a grommet on one of the cylinders. It idles perfect now. However, while driving it home the partly blocked right CAT so hot it burned up the associated O2 sensor. I took the old manifolds off (problem CAT attached) replaced it with my JBA header and it'll run (loud) but it's sluggish. Getting codes P0031, P2238. I've got to get a new O2 sensor and have the headers welded with a new pipe fitting to connect the rest of the exhaust system. Could the bad sensor be causing the engine to be sluggish & sometimes backfire?

 

Yes it could. Don’t drive it until you fix that

 

I've been following this thread and hope you figured it out. Any chance, you know exactly what grommet (location, part number etc)?

 

I'll have to call and speak to the mechanic. Honestly, I wanted to hug him/her

 

I have a passenger side manifold if you need one.
