After installing East Coast gear supply bushing in front differential, In only 20,000 miles, the bushing has seemed to wore out and a terrible vibration has come back. Problem is The bushing is considerably longer than the original needle bearing that was stock, And seems to have a little more bite, Meaning, it’s well in place versus what the needle was. I tried a pilot bearing puller But the legs on it were too weak. Then I rented another bearing puller from auto store, and the jaws were too short and would not reach the end of the bushing. Has anybody had to remove one of these yet and what did they do to successfully remove it?

Contacting the vendor might help resolve your problem if you don't get a good response here.

its a bushing so if you can get a punch/chisel/screwdriver in between it it should break, and pull it out, (I did that with the needle bearing when I did mine, so should work on the bushing just dont allow the pieces to fall into the diff, I stuffed a rag or paper towel in there and had a magnet on stand by when I did the needle bearing.
use a hacksaw blade, reach in cut a grove in the bushing till all most thru then break/bend it into the centre with a punch, and pull it out. the hack saw cut should relieve the tension and the bushing should come out easier, might be messy maybe use a vacuum to suck the filings from the brass, just spit balling. mine has been in for at least 60,000 miles with no issues

yeah I called East Coast and they said to cut it out with an air chisel or dremmel tool. Thank you for the input.

Hope you can post an update on why it failed. I've had one in for almost 30k and no issues.

Do you recall if you lubed it well before installing the axle shaft? I think it would be easy to forget and put the axle shaft back in dry.
Mine has been in for years now and no issues thus far.

It has ripple like grooves in it. I can feel them. It’s hard to see it inside the diff and after I cut it out you won’t be able to see it at all. The only thing I could think that would cause it to fail would have been the 5100 bilsteins that I had on there are really really rough ride. It was wet with gear oil before putting the CV back in. I have both original needle, bearing and another bushing. I’m debating on which one I want to put back in. I’m kind of done with the 5100s I want to go back to 4600.

Yeah, the guys at East Coast say they’ve had it on their truck for the life of the entire truck and it never went bad. Kind of blows my mind it went bad so quick.

How does the axle shaft look?
