    I like the mx5, I was torn between it and the gr86, the main reason I went with the 86 was it had room for a spare doughnut. Of course having a spare means I'll probly never use it. lol Not many choices nowdays for a MT.

    I was looking at those as well, but all the dealers near me at the time kept trying the bait and switch. (Ie say a car listed onlies as being on the lot on the phone, when i got there i would get a um no its in transit, but how about this cx5)

    My other car is an air conditioned, manual transmission, 4-door 2-liter 2005 Kia Spectra Ex -- the very best and most reliable car I have ever owned.

    It's up to 285k miles so far and still runs like new. Have rebuilt the transmission (clutch was still good at 200k miles?!) and rebuilt the front end, and replace timing chain and Iridium plugs every 90k miles and randomly backflush all engine fluids and replace all hoses & belts when one is worn. Never understood why they stopped making this model after just a few years, those Koreans did it right. I'm sure it will last at least to 350k maybe 400k or more miles!
