Last Saturday I took my muscle car to the Portland Cars & Coffee meetup for the first time. It’s held in Sherwood, Oregon. There were a bunch of built jeeps posted up in the gravel lot. That got me thinking it would be cool if Toyota crew had a presence too. Anyway, could meet some new peeps and check out builds.

The meetup is every Saturday year round, from 8am to 11am. It’s busy early on those hours though… 8am to 10am is when it’s hopping. It happens at this entertainment & bowling place called Langer’s Entertainment Center. I didn’t go into the building but I’m -assuming- there is coffee, and bathrooms. Totally free to attend, no registration, you just show up, park, and walk around an easy going car show. And leave when you want. Orange shirt people guide you in and tell you where to park in the paved lots. The 4x4 stuff was all parked in a gravel lot on the side of the building. Parking is first come first served. Lots of hot rods, rally builds, euro stuff, turbo fast n’ furious imports, old Model T stuff, new Ferraris, everything. It’s open to any cool cars or trucks or motorcycles old and new.

Just google Portland Cars & Coffee and there’s any details and basic rules. No drones, and no burnouts was a thing. Also check out the map on their website, they like people to enter from a certain road otherwise it backs up traffic in Sherwood.

Anyway, I thought it was a cool show. Something local & fun to do on a Saturday morning besides play video games and be lazy. If I see a Tacoma or any cool Toyota parked there I’ll come say hi for sure. You’re all invited!
