Salutation! I will be relocating to WA late June and wanted to see how many of you are on or around Whidbey Island. I’m gonna be located in Freeland, but will be working on the mainland. I have plenty of family around there and have been going up for over 20 yrs. Been fantasizing about the BDR since i read about it and can’t wait to start the trail. See ya soon!!

Exciting! Where in TX are you from? I'm from Houston but have moved back and forth from WA to TX a couple times. Lived here about 8 years and then went to Austin for 2.5 years and now back for about a year and ready to settle in to my adopted home since my wife's family is from here.

Nothing currently on the books that I know of. Could be fun to group up & hit some forest roads

Yes let's do it! I've pretty much only explored around King County, so would be nice to learn what's up there!

Anyone been up on the BDR this year? I went over to Mazama last weekend and went to towards Goat Peak Lookout, NF 52. Snow started at about 4000ft

I was up near there last weekend and had some fun wheeling through stretches of crusty snow. Last year on memorial weekend I went from Loomis back over Skull and crossbones and made it through a pretty deep drift. I was following some SxS tracks. I was heading towards Boulder Cr and came across a FS guy walking out who blew the belt on his SxS. He said it was really bad further up. We offered him a ride back to his rig. He said the way to Lone Frank pass was closed and he was up there looking for SxS’s ignoring it.
