lol Actually, I was looking for whiskey glasses when a friend suggested these. She said they are a couple of bucks each, don't care if they get broken, and work perfectly. She was right. Might look a little redneck but I'm more of a function over fashion kind of guy.

    Cheers.

After 30 years of casual cigar smoking, I made the leap into pipes a couple years ago mainly for the aroma. Reminds me of how my grandfather's house smelled when I was a kid. What I like vs a cigar is I can control how much (or how little) I want to smoke at once. With cigars I always felt committed to finishing the entire stick and, for me, the flavor of of a "saved for later" smoke never felt the same the second time around. I prefer primarily mild cavendish blends.

I did the same thing about a year ago, found my grandfather/Dads old pipe, handed down. It had a crack in it and so I purchased a new pipe. I loved the aroma of when he smoked his pipe and I love the idea of the large selection of flavors, cheaper cost too.
My problem was keeping it lit, seems like I was always taking a match to it. I need to find someone around where I live that can teach me.
    Dad’s old pipe.

Recently got a La Aurora sampler and this was in it...the Preferido Gold was outstanding... so i aka hopful this LaAurora 120 anniversary is good as well... I really prefer 46 rg or less.... some vitolas can pull of 50 and even 54 but IMHO not many...if you want flavor Corona and thiner is where it's at... sadly they have fallen out of favor for some reason.... anyway this gran too was in the sampler so here goes.....

No offense to ya all, but when I see someone with a large brown stogie hanging out of their mouth, I visualize a dog taking a dump

Taking a much needed break this weekend with a Paul Stulac Post Script San Andres Toro. Mexican San Andres wrapper, Nicaraguan binder and filler. This smokes so far above it's price point it's crazy. Terrific smoke, even burn, long ash and a nice draw (don't ask if it has hints of lilac or maple, I just liked it). Paired well with a nice American pale ale (a nod to my friends south of 49),
    Cheers, .
