Is anyone running this exaust as a replacement? Its a muffler/tailpipe combo. It says its a direct replacement but it isnt. The inlet side is 2.25 I.D by my ruler and 2.4 O.D. The outlet side is 2.5 O.D. which doesnt make a lot of sense. The pipe on my truck is 2.5 all the way back from the cat. I suppose ill have to try and find an adapter from 2.25 inner up to 2.6 outer or whatever just to use it. I dont see a 2.5 sleeve working here due to the inlet side being that .1 inch smaller.

The specs on it say its 2.5 and it just isnt. Just wondering if i got a faulty one or some oddity.

My previous stock unit rotted off long ago and i replaced it with Gibson....and that whole tail pipe rotted through with fist sized holes as well as the muffler. The back side of the muffler rotted completely out after maybe 3 years.

well i have been to 3 auto stores and they dont make a reducer that fits 2-1/2 O.D. to 2-1/4 O.D.

I dont get it. Its like the inlet pipe on this thing is some odd size unknown to any adapter or reducer.

I could spend another $60+ and get the forward pipe and flange that houses the O2 sensor but there is no way to tell if that will fit either. Granted that would be a 2-1/4 pipe where as i have a 2.5 inch pipe there now from the gibson setup i had.

I also cant believe the cost of muffler clamps these days. $12 to $14 bucks for a simple muffler clamp. Insane.

Im going to likely have to order the front pipe as well.
Is there a flange gasket from the cat back or is only the round crush washer that fits inside the pipe at the flange. All I can find is WALKER 31374 which looks like the round one that sticks into both pipes but nothing listed that shows oval shaped gasket where the flange bolts go through.
