That was a lot of welding... just a couple more pieces left.



The swing down got some self etching primer and then a black base primer.

 

Burned through two 5 pound rolls of welding wire today.

 

Pro tip: I you just welded a section, don't use that section to rest your arm.

 

I've done that before and finally got some extra long welding gloves. Make sure it doesn't get infected, thats a 2nd degree burn for sure.

 

So not sure if my texts aren't going through in our group chat.

Got someone buying my CNC table as I just ordered a better one a few days ago.

Should be back in business in about 3-4 weeks.

 

Bumper and swing out are now both primered and ready for Raptor Liner.

 

Josh (@Pella) is, literally, one but connector away from having the entire fuse box re-wired.

 

Just need to cut the holes in the coil bucket stiffener. And they'll be ready.

 

More things happening

 

With the 15 inch holes finished... it's on to the 8 inch holes

 

Front tubbing is done.

Well... test fit went as test fits normally go for me.

The grille logo is fucking wrong. Supposed to be TOYOTA. SRQ is probably going to tell me it's what I ordered (the way it goes for me). So... I'll get to tear this one apart and build another Satoshi grille... which is what I didn't want to do... and THE REASON I spent 300 bucks on this one.

Bumper is crooked. Which means I'll need to cut and re-weld the bottom of the frame where the bottom of the bumper bolts up... and probably make some other modifications.

But, it's progress... I guess.

 

Well... Of course SRQ Fab says that is the grille I ordered. They'd be happy to let me order another one and then refund my money for this one (minus a re-stocking fee) after I pay to ship this one back to them and they recieve it.
