anyone has experience with synecticusa tonneau cover (Amazon) vs. antidote outdoors. They are less than $1000. I read thru that synectiusa is quite loud on the freeway on amazon review but not sure how bad. Antidote is $799.

I'm not sure how that style might be louder. Associates have had that style and I didn't notice it nor have they complained.

I went with Fas-Top for the all in one or both tonneau and topper option and accommodating open bed too. So far no regrets. It is really sweet to be 15 or even 1500 mi from home and all of a sudden have a topper if appropriate. Its not 60 seconds to have a bed completely open with no mechanisms to get dirty or mess up if that's appropriate.

Rough country for the win! I sell them and it’s a great product. For 749 the product is cheaper and better quality. You can get their flagship model. It’s nice.

I also got Rough Country, tri fold hard cover. Installed in about an hour, seems sturdy enough...was on sale for $699 free shipping. Had it a few weeks only but so far so good.

Why not a diamondback SE? Any cons to that one?

I think diamond back SE is really good but quite pricey. Budget is $1000 or less and I want retractable. I actually drove to syneticusa and bought it from them it was slightly cheaper at $880 rather than $1099. It is 5-year warranty, and my brother is installing it as we speak.

I think the newer rough country tonneau's are comparable to Bakflip's. Maybe slightly better. :notsure:

It appears to be composite and alum. 1 full disclosure, the seal for the tailgate is VERY robust. It will interfere with the resistance sensor on the tailgate. I trimmed the large seal back, and left the small seal to seal the tailgate (there are 2), and I do not have issues with it closing on it's own

I have diamond back on my 2024 SR5 and i really like it. The fit is perfect, it’s security is top notch, i live in Colorado and it keeps the snow and rain out. It’s fairly easy to remove if you need to haul something. The price was well worth it to me. Buy once cry once. The company itself rushed my order a few days before my road trip which i greatly appreciated and it has a life time warranty. I believe shipping was free as well. There’s also lots of accessories you can buy from them. I plan on buying the tracks that mount to the topper for cross bars, and their led set up.

Anyone know of the diamondback SE cover affects automatic tailgate function?

I have this cover and really like it. Getting it lined up took a bit as it is tight. I am getting no leaks and very little water in the bed in extreme rain and car washes. I honestly couldn’t be happier for the price.

the only thing that sucks are the instructions. YouTube was my friend on that front.

We sell a ton of the Lomax covers and have had great results with them long term. Especially for the Tacoma's.

We also offer some pretty heavy discounts for forum members if you send us a PM.
