I thought these just tightened up. Anyone know a fix? I have new oem lower contol arms, and tried to reuse the bump stop. The control arms didn’t come with new bushings.

I thought about throwing a quick tack weld on it. Maybe…

They should tighten up, sounds like you may have a stripped out welded nut inside the control arm. I'd tac weld or JB weld it and call it a day.

Yeah seems stripped to me. I didn’t install these, had them done at my buddy’s mechanical shop. It doesn’t come out, seem like the nut that’s welded in there came loose from inside the control arm.

When I first bought my Tacoma the bump stop loosely spun around but could not be removed.
My guess was at some time the bump stop backed out of the thread and was loose. Then a hard bottoming happened and the backside welded nut broke away. I tack welded like you suggested and worked fine.

Does it spin on the old ones or new ones? When I did my front end both of the old ones spun, couldn't get the stops off. The square nut is welded on the inside and I wound up cutting holes in the back of the old A-arms, used long nose vice grips to get ahold of the nuts to get them out. If they're the new ones I'd return them for a new set.

Well, its just the drivers side that spins. Im not going rip that out and do that over again. Im thinking Im just going to through a quick tac weld on the front and back of them and run it.

Just curious if there was another way that one of you guys figured out. Thanks fellas.
