In 2003 I went from my Honda Prelude to the Tacoma. I liked the smaller cars so I was looking for a smaller access cab truck.....

Looking around the used car lots in town there were Rangers everywhere but no, and I mean no, used Tacomas..

Hmmmm. Why are people getting rid of their Rangers but not Tacomas?

the 5th gens are known to have a cdf drum failure according to ford its been fixed and no longer a problem and i know people with them with high miles for the cdf drum failure and no issues.


now stating the trucks suck is not true... if it wasnt for the cdf drum failure the ranger blew away 3rd gen and 2nd gen tacomas

It was just the most bizarre thing, man.
We have a lot of car lots.
To see several Rangers at each lot but not a single Tacoma......

I didn't need to know why....That told me enough.

 

oh so the issue that was now fixed means they still suck? well damn lets look at toyota as of late they have done to well either now have they..... yes they had an issue and it was a really damn annoying one to deal with but it has sense been fixed and multiple people state no issues after the fix wow sounds familiar doesnt it!

 

when the failure started happening people jumped ship me included since mine had the failure

 

everyone knows by now not to buy a first model year Toyota

 

We all make mistakes
