I don't believe I see it mentioned anywhere but does this fit with the sway bar installed? This is probably my favorite looking 3rd gen bumper and I'm definitely interested.

You know what… I will have to check that. Don’t know a whole lot of people running sway bars haha. Pretty sure it’ll fit but I will double check and confirm.

its only a 36% decrease and they basically nix the lower half of a hybrid in terms of material as well as that section in the middle and any associated gusseting in those regions.

It’s really that much lighter, there’s a lot of “fat” to be trimmed on hybrid style bumpers.

How much clearance is there to the oil filter?

I ask because I have a similar cross member delete style bumper and when it took a big hit, it flexed a bit and cracked my oil filter. Which it's not great needing to do an emergency oil filter change on the trail. Lol

Can you post a shot showing the clearance around that AC condenser hardline on the passenger side? I'm going to have to clearance my bumper to clear this, when installed I had about 1/8" clearance, and about a year after install, there's been enough flexing and movement to have punctured that line.

Very slick design! Will you be offering your crossmember replacement as a standalone item?

a lot haha. My skids also use the front mounts off the crossmember for those with rclt. Mainly used them to help with side load on the bottom ones which is what causes these threads to strip out.

How does it compare in strength for winching and other use cases with the hybrid? I’m having a hard problem seeing the differences in the pictures. A picture with it uninstalled might help.

It makes me wonder if there is 69 lb steel bumper without the need to remove the crossmember. It’s getting competitive with aluminum in terms of weight.

The bumpers from a reputable vendor are never the weak point here, it's the factory attachment points that is going to fail first. The DRT bumper takes care of all of those worries.

I'd be interested which bumper you have? Do you have any photos to share on how much clearance your compromised bumper had/has so we can compare to the DRT?

Thanks, I'm considering just taking it out to see how I like it but I feel like it would good information in general to have on your store listing.

you can run just the bumper with out the crossmember delete and whatever skid you like there will just be a ~4” “gap” between the skid and bumper. Part of the reason so much weight is shaved is the bumper in general is smaller.

This bumper has 10 attachment points joining the bumper x frame x crossmember together. I don’t like the bumper reinforcements that use the sway bar holes since it never fits well with the dozen different types of shocks/resis for these trucks. That’s why I opted for weld on frame plates that tie into the core support mount. I would say they’re equally as strong.

I will take some cad photos here in a bit an explain some of the thought process that went into it.
