Does anyone know of a track adapter kit or hardware that would allow me to connect up the Yakima Overhaul HD truck rack towers to Front Runner tracks? I have Front Runner load rails already bolted onto my Diamond Back cover and I don't want to remove the FR tracks and drill more holes into the cover to install the Yakima rails. The reason I am looking to buy the Yakima Overhaul HD rails is so I can raise my RTT to the cab height. Unfortunately, I can't find any FR arms that go up to that height.

sorry I totally missed this when I made my post about the anchor plates

    - yes my cover is an SE

    - I have two plates at the cab, two at the gate.

    - I also have 8 regular anchor cleats (4 on each sides) that came pre-installed on my cover.

    - yes I have several Diamonback Ratchet Straps to use with both the plates and cleats.

DB HD cover is staying strong with the mods for the past six years.

A little recap on the latest adventures…

Went from Los Angeles, CA to Glacier National Park in Montana and back last month.

A stop during the road trip up to Glacier NP.

Campsite on the first day/night at Emery Bay Campground.

Group campsite for the following four days at Emery Bay Campground.

Got a nice view of the Hungryhorse Reservoir from the rtt

Thanks to a friend who helped me get the rtt leveled.

A shot with the gang by the Glacier NP sign near Lake McDonald.

A little side quest in Glacier NP…

Got to stop by Yellowstone for the first time on the way back home to Los Angeles.

    Some souvenirs from Glacier NP

I tried searching this post and the internet, Does anyone know if the Diamond Back can fold flat with the Yakima HD rails installed? I'd like to install the rails offset to each other with the hope that the tail gate section can fold flat when hauling tall items. anyone try this or have pictures?

Update: I called diamondback and they said that the panels can fold flat with only the rails installed, any one have a picture of this?

While I don't have the rails, the easiest way to think about it is like this. So long as the rails are not taller than the locks, it will fold flat.

Do you know how tall the locks are? Yakima says the rails are 0.87 in tall, stacked on top of each other, that's a good size gap when folded.

Without any crossbars on the rails, I’m imagining you’re going to be able to fold a panel end past 90* to the other end. The lock handles are about an inch tall, I think, but they’re at the front and rear ends, with a kind of offset/staggered placement from each other (front panel lock is closer to the driver side and rear panel is centered). You won’t be able to fold them a full 180*, but enough to open a panel past 90* so that you don’t have an aluminum sail on top of the bed.

How are you liking these? Did you end up installing the others on the hinges? Are you still able to fold the cover all the way back onto its self?

Has anyone had any issues using a SE cover with bed rack and RTT mounted?

Not much of a mod - but the Milwaukee Pack Out system works perfectly with the DB.

Does anybody have a solution for a fridge slide, that goes under the DB of course? I have a Iceco VL35 - I tried Iceco's slide and it wouldn't extend far enough to clear my cover. Any suggestions aside from self fabricating?

I dont have the skill set to fab one, or I would.
