2025 TRD Sport Build

Just posting this build as a way to keep track of my modifications.
My truck is a 2025 TRD Sport Premium in Celestial Silver Metallic purchased new in Oregon. The truck has a dealer installed blackout badges and rubber floor mats.

 

The first thing I did was remove the dealer plates. I'm sad to say that it took me 6 days to get around to doing this.

 

Next up was the ridiculous air dam. The wife even made a comment about whether I could park against a particularly tall curb without ripping off the air dam. Once I had the air dam off, I didn't really like the unfinished look and the way the felt gravel guard hung down, so I copied some other TW posters and cut the dam down to about 1.25" and reinstalled the resulting three pieces.

 

Next up, the tailpipe. As the exterior badging is all blacked out, I wasn't loving the look of the raw stainless exhaust. Removed, painted (high temp ceramic paint) and reinstalled exhaust tip. I know there is a TRD gloss black tip available, but I'm partial to flat black.

 

Next up were some AJT door handle covers in TRD red ordered from Tacoma Lifestyle. I customized these covers with custom cut vinyl. As I ordered the vinyl off of Etsy, I only ordered enough for the front two in case the size was off or I didn't love the look. These handles are a message to passengers that we might end up upside down in a cloud of dust.

The AJT Design door handles were great, so I also ordered a key fob cover in TRD red as my wife's RAV fob and my Tacoma fob were similar enough that I've already accidentally grabbed her key on occasion.
