Can someone pop my cherry?

2002 Tacoma SR5? auto with 4 cylinder
Hello everyone so I just bought this taco and I'm trying to find out what I can do to it. I know 4x4 swap is out the door cuz its not a prerunner right it would just cost a lot? So next in mind would be a prerunner kit from total chaos front n rear i got a friend who can weld so i got fab checked out. a little background on the taco. Got it for 2k off a coworker he said it had a blown head gasket needs tries and a good cleaning. in reality it just needed a oil change, spark plugs and it had no coolant so I'm guessing he thought he blown it cuz it saw no coolant? oil wasn't milky and the coolant left in the radiator was fine too so did I just get lucky ? I let it run for 40 minutes to see if any codes would pop up nothing only thing is brake light stays on the dash but it drives fine. he said something about 1st gear I need to drive it a bit more to find out what he's talking about.

 

4wd will not be an option as it’s a 5 lug.

 

Use it as low cost transportation shop truck to haul parts and run errands for the build of a the pre runner you want. Don’t put money into it. Just get what life it has left out of it.
