Any shop recommendations for engine replacement

Got had by a Big dealership. Had engine diagnosis done at what seem to be reputable shop. I looked did pretty through look over of truck and test drove. Didn't see any seeps no wierd fluid colors not off nosies. Fast forward 40 days I start hearing a knock. I call shop they say bring it down. I start getting white smoke out of tail pipe on way to shop. About 20 miles from ship I get CEL. They pull it in and diagnosis failing #6 cylinder with scouring of walls and oil on top of piston. They quoted me 20k in rebuild of engine. Unfortunately I took a loan on the truck as my other vehicle was not gonna make it much longer. My job requires me to have vehicle. Anyone work with shop that replaces engines. I called colorado engine and he quoted me 11k for engine swap. Said engine had 35k on it and flat rate to install. I think it's 12 month warranty. Please spare me the unhelpful comments, I've already beat myself up alot over thie situation I got myself into. I've been fighting with deal about thier 90 day 4000mile warranty and the stupid extended warranty I dumbly purchased. I've even contacted lawyer on how to move forward. Stealership if fighting my request to cancel extended scam at every request. They are very resistant to filing a claim with 90 day and 4000 mile that I'm well with in limits of. They actually canceled the limited because the deal fell through with the bank they tried to sell my loan to. It didn't fall through, I requested my bank be used as I had pre-approval I brought in. They didn't even send them the loan app till I had them on the phone with my bank. Any way sorry for long winded story. Any suggestions on shop would be awesome I'm up Sh^^ creek and this sucks. I made a huge mistake please don't drag me for that

I don't know if Charley's Garage in Boulder does rebuilds, but they might know someone who does.

 

That is my best friend and yes that is my truck she was posting about. I'm just not sure what to do. I have it back at Toy doctors seeing if limited warranty will cover it. It knocks through acceleration and while driving. I can hear it in cab of truck all the time. My friend helped me do an oil change and we saw metal varying from brass glitter to aluminum glitter in filter and when we dropped the filter I feel like I saw a couple pieces the size of finger nail. We hook coder reader up and got bank 1&2 for cat convertor. Rough idle code and cylinder #6 fuel air imbalance. I'm not the best mechanic when. It comes to the engines. I'm super nervous that I am looking at a spun bearing causing the cylinder scoring. But also it's hard to know if that's even the pictures of my engine. I was there when the did the inspection and I feel like they should have grabbed me. Now it's just there at thier shop waiting on warranty adjuster. It's been a super rough ride

 

I just recently had a new engine installed in my '07 at Wessbecker Automotive in Castle Rock. Not sure where you're located if that's an option for you or not. New engine came with 3 yr unlimited miles warranty. Ended up with taxes just over $12,000. Also quoted another option of a used motor swap for just over $9,000. The used motor they found had 130,000 miles on it.
