That's a lot cheaper than I was quoted. At that price I would have considered doing the repair, but seeing how there's no guarantee the leak doesn't come back I'm not paying for it at this time.

I have a mat down in my driveway to catch any drips off the the skid plate and I'll keep an eye on the oil level. I hate leaks but I hate wasting money even more.

Fwiw (which isnt much bc it's only been two weeks) my external repair has held up so far and bone dry. Drove the piss out of it last week too. Bought a cheapo inspection camera and been keeping an eye on it closely. Confident enough to not worry about it now for some time and will check it again in a couple thousand miles.

Mine leaks but it doesn't drip so I just let it leak:notsure: I will eventually clean it up and try to seal it externally but that's it as long as it stays a seep

I feel ya man. Paying that much for a minor issue is hard to take.

That’s what I was told. As long as it’s a slow seep, it’s not a big deal.

Mine drips onto the engine and frame below it and then gets blown back on the skid plate when driving. I'll have a drop or two on the mat in my driveway, but I check the oil level weekly and haven't noticed any loss on the dipstick. Everything I've read says it won't damage anything as long as I keep an eye on the oil level, so I'm doing that for now until I get around to trying the external seal again and replacing the PCV valve. I've just been too busy with other stuff to work on it at the moment.

Thanks for the insight brother. Seems to be the way most people are going. Keep us posted when you tackle the external seal job. I just degreased the area last night and will be keeping an eye on mine. I would rather try the external seal than drop that much cash.
