Odd cuts of tenderloin that were on sale. Tasted just like the good stuff. :D
Monday morning is the best time to get the reduced price weekend cuts that didn't sell.
Those were $8, and there is 3 meals there. Prolly slice one up for a French dip.

Check out an app called Flash Foods. Grocery stores put near expiration stuff on there, at least around me, one chain uses it. Last time i scored big it was 50% off pork tenderloins. In vac sealed packages already. I got 15 of them and chucked them in the freezer.

On today's menu are two candied, pulled hams. Brown sugar and Chipotle rub.

Curing a pork shoulder/butt and turning it into ham, then smoking it and making pulled ham it pretty freaking amazing.

In all fairness, I just buy pre cured hams. After the holidays they are insanely cheap, and freeze well. I think I had $20 total into these two hams.

Fair enough... but how does it pull compared to a pork butt?

It pulled fairly easy. It definitely hit the stall like a pork butt does. I went a little heavy on the glaze, but I like it extra sweet. The Chipotle adds a nice note without being over the top.
