Hard Cover ARE LSII Longer Support Struts

I got this 2010 short bed a little bit ago with an ARE LSII (LS2) 5140LS hard shell tonneau cover on it. Not entirely sure how I feel about the cover, but it is practical except I hated how little it opened. Since it looked like the gas struts were the only thing keeping it from opening further I got some longer replacements. I measured with the old struts off and just a bit over 20" seemed like the max length before I was fighting anything. Went with these Lift Supports Depot 19.7" 110lbs 10mm struts on Amazon.

Turned out great, went from 22" of space above the tailgate to 32.5". So much easier to get things in and out. The 110lbs is definitely a little overkill though, it takes a decent amount of force to close but sure lifts up nice.
