Hey all I’m reaching out because I’m curious if anybody has the numbers on the difference in measurements between the gen3 and gen4 5 foot bed. I have my tonneau that I took off my gen3 but I didn’t consider that the dimensions might’ve changed on the bed. It’s a bit of a faff to install it, so figured I would see what others have learned before I waste the effort. I should’ve taken some measurements from the gen3, Primary concern isdistance between the bed rails. Thanks!

3 Gen and 4 Gen tonneau covers are not compatible. Sorry for sounding forwarded, but a simple web search should have given you the answer...

I saw some things online that suggested the beds are somehow different, slightly wider. Since the tonneau uses the bed rails to mount, if they are wider apart it won’t work without some shimming if possible. Curious if anyone is able to measure both? It’s on my list but have t managed to measure a gen 3 yet.

Why spend good money on a new truck and try to install a tonneau that won’t fit right. Sell it on marketplace and buy the correct one. There was a post recently on the Lomax tonneaus that are deeply discounted.

    Which tonneau do you have?
