It was only $100 off, but better than nothing. Anyway, AA emailed me today saying it was backordered and cancelled my order. I called Aaron see if I could just stay on a wait list and they said no wait list allowed.

I called DB directly to inquire on the backorder delay. They said the reason it was cancelled was because I ordered the smooth black finish, which is only available direct from DB. DB rep said he handled my order and told AA 3 days after my order that they couldn't order smooth black. AA waited 3 weeks to cancel my order, and another week for my refund. DB won't match the AA deal. Now I'm debating reordering smooth through DB or going with an ARE shell.

TLDR: If you want smooth finish, you must order directly from DB.

 

Well it came last week via UPS, 167 pounds wrapped well and on a palette!

 

For anyone who's looking for a discounted Diamondback Cover, they could look at their Outlet Store. I just ordered one that popped up yesterday ($250 off due to "ugly welds on the bottom side of the cover"). Looks like they put up a few a week for various reasons. I knew I was okay with non-structural "flaws" and it was underneath so it works for me.

One piece of advice that I wished I had known, if you're going to add any extra add-ons (like the interior bins), I'd recommend ordering twice, once with just the cover and again for the add-ons. Because on the page for just the discounted cover it said shipping would be around 3-4 business days I believe, and after adding my addons the estimated ship day was around Dec 5th if I recall. I'm fairly confident that had I ordered separately I'd have my cover sooner.
