Well upgraded our '22 TRDORP with 32k miles, well we'll see if it's an actual upgrade. Really need the extra power of the Hybrid for towing but will be interesting to see how it stacks up against our '17 & '22 TRDORP's. Got a color outside of Silver or white this time, yes living on the edge in my old age!

@CMillTacoma I’m guessing it’s going to be a huge upgrade in terms of towing, I’m jealous, personally would have gone for a long bed though to help with the towing side of things.
    What are you towing?

I wanted a long bed too but NO Hybrid in the long bed, not sure why???? We have a new '25 RPod 197 we just picked up, weighs 4100 pds dry, '22 Taco was struggling in the MT's pulling it and the manual sucked for towing.

Trailhunter trim allows longbed with hybrid but it'll cost you.

Ya I was talking about TRD's and I looked at one of those TH's and at almost $70k for a Tacoma is insane to me!

Yep - as I was researching 4th gens I looked into longbeds - something I've sometimes wished I'd had on my 3rd gen. Saw only the TH has it and it's far beyond what I have any interest in paying. Once I find out the fate of my 3rd gen* I'll have to seriously decide whether I'd prefer the benefits of the hybrid or having a longbed.

    * rear ended, slight frame bend visible at the back end. Inspection/estimate appointment Saturday and should find out repair vs total next week. I suspect total but could be surprised. Even if repaired, it'll be time to move on.

Insane for anyone, even those wandering around with money falling out of their pockets. It's still just a Tacoma. Which is nice and all, but....... Oh well, I appreciate those who stimulate the economy in the discretionary consumer goods sector!

I don't see many new bronze or red tacoma's on dealer lots.

That's a good looking truck I like the Bronze Oxide. Waiting for BO to trickle down to the SR5 Xtracab, but I think those only come in the SR colors.

Hows this drive for your initial impression? I have a 2021 with 35k miles and might be hitting the dealer for a test drive..

hybrid will only be good for off theline power for towing and possibly for passing someone. it will not roll on hybrid power for just a hill /overpass/mountain pass climb. that being said i have ZERO regrets getting my iforce maxx

I traded my 2020 in for a 25 OR Hybrid today and the drive is 10x better. I miss the sound of the V6 but man, this thing feels like it has real power and doesnt struggle on the freeway at all.

Congrats!! What did the give you for your 22? Seems trade in value is awfully high right now.

Interesting. As my '17 was gear hunting up and down rolling hills yesterday I was wondering if the hybrid might supplement some EV power for a short hill climb.

Other than off-the-line, anything to look for that's different with the hybrid driving experience? I'm planning to test drive hybrid and regular Taco's this weekend. Suggestions of what differences to look for would be a help. Thanks.

The EV motor will supplement the powertrain as needed according to conditions, your right foot, the drive mode, and the state of charge.

On your test drive make sure the EV batteries are charged up. Usually 50 percent is good. Ask the salesperson to bring up that gauge.

Select the drive mode you want to really test. Eco, normal, sport.

Find a hill. Flip down your visor mirror. See that grin from ear to ear. Hear no screaming? No abrupt bronco bucking? See that grin from ear to ear.?

    Yeah. Where is that checkbook.

engine shut off on coast down. or even coasting down a slight grade in the road. iforce maxx is also known to have wierd vibrations that are considered normal.
a/c can be ran with the engine off. put the truck "in ready mode" i like that alot.

Congrats! I also picked up a BO hybrid trd off-road last month. To me it feels like a
V8 with that massive 465 ft lbs of torque.
